Donor Recognition

When FEEF was awarded the Kresge Challenge Grant for the endowment campaign, it was also awarded a separate Kresge Development Grant to support campaign and publicity expenses.

The board wanted the community to become more aware of FEEF and decided to ask America Jones to paint a mural in downtown Fairhope at the corner of Church St. and Fairhope Ave. This colorful mural thanks all the community for their support of FEEF and the public schools in Fairhope.

In 2005, also part of the development grant for publicity, a seahorse sculpture located on the bluff overlooking the Fairhope pier and Mobile Bay was created and installed by artist Bruce Larsen. “Apple slice” benches and a plaque recognizing top donors was also installed to complete the recognition.
