The 30th Annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament presented by title sponsor Terry Thompson Chevrolet has once again raised over $49,000 to benefit the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF).
Proceeds from the tournament allow the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation to provide Fairhope students with innovative, creative and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) initiative programs.
These programs currently include: the Pelican’s Nest Science Lab, FEEF’s signature project, expanded art, music and reading opportunities for Fairhope Elementary students, hands-on discovery science labs at Fairhope Intermediate and J. Larry Newton, guitar and choral labs, math initiatives and outdoor education at Fairhope Middle and piano labs, the Black Box Theater, band, visual arts and engineering at Fairhope High School.
“This tournament has grown significantly over the years and is one that golfers from our area look forward to each year,” said Jake Defee, Tournament Chair. “This tournament plays a critical role in funding programs in our Fairhope schools that would not be available without the support of the City of Fairhope and our community businesses and partners.”

Along with raising funds for FEEF and supporting Fairhope public schools, teams enjoyed a beautiful day on the golf course, live performances from the schools guitar and choral programs, demonstrations from the Fairhope High School Engineering Moon Buggies and several took home top prizes.
